HOLY ROSARY ACADEMY
S.Y. 2006-2007 CLASS PROPHECY:
A Trip to the Future
I was walking alone along the wide sand stretch of the beach… wondering what would happen to me and to my dear batch-mates fifteen years from then. I got tired of walking so I decided to sit down and watch the sun as it sets on the west. The melancholic chirps of the birds and the music of the waves and winds were so wonderful. I was about to go home when a bottle brought by the waves touched my toes. It was not an ordinary bottle. Though I want to ignore it, a strange feeling convinced me to pick and open it up. I immediately did and much to my surprise, a thick smoke came out and slowly formed into a weird creature. He started talking with a loud and funny voice, “Thank you! At last! After millions of years being imprisoned in that bottle, I am free again! Hahaha! In return, I will offer you three wishes for me to grant.” Not even a single word came out from my mouth and I was completely shocked. He went towards me and tapped my face; this made me realize that he is true; he is a true genie! Astonished and excited, I made my first wish, “I want a trip to the future, fifteen years from now.” “Sure ka na ba?”, he asked. And without a second thought I replied, “Sure na!” He then let me close my eyes and count down from five.

The rays of the sun flashed as I open my eyes! Then gradually, I got a vision of myself sleeping soundly in my queen size bed. I was so exhausted that
I don’t have the energy to get up yet; but my phone rang like endless so I got no other option but to answer it. OMG! It was my manager telling me that I have a new movie project and that could be the climax of my career!
Quickly that afternoon, I had an appointment with the multi-awarded director, Direk Rofel Gen Malaki, with his wife, a successful entrepreneur, Mrs. Mirasol Malulan-Malaki. I was amazed when he told me that other Hollywood grand slam actresses like Ms. Contessa Andrea Capapas, Ms. Marinel Grace Baliad, Ms. Jessel Ereno, Ms. Rosie Apolinar and Ms. Teresa Libarios would be my co-stars; and Hollywood action kings: Mr. Benjie Gar Constantino, Mr. Cyrell Jan Romero and Mr. Ralph Ryan Maturan would be the leading actors; a very powerful group of actors and actresses!
Everything was planned accordingly and on the following week, we had the contract signing. The whole cast was present; and as the producer of the film, the Chief Executive Officer of the Girlaloo Motion Pictures, Inc., Ms. Mary Gree Ann Aranaydo, was also there.
The first day of shooting came. It was a long but exciting journey to that place which was out of the country.
Our plane took off at exactly 9:00 in the morning at the Arquion International Airport, inherited by Mr. Ian Arquion from his wealthy ancestors. I am really afraid of heights but the newest plane model of the Januaryo Aircrafts owned by Engr. Januaryo Lubong, made me feel at ease and of course with the help of the hunk aviator, Capt. Macario Jess Donayre and his assistant aviatrix, Pilot Lidnipie Villa, in flying the airplane. I felt sleepy but I still want to look at the clouds outside the window; good thing that a sexy stewardess named, Ms. Jenalyn Cana, handed me a cup of coffee. Other beautiful and dashing stewardesses were also there; these were Ms. Malou Jane Limit, Ms. Rona Irish Quering and Ms. Dinalyn Mendones.
To avoid boredom while aboard, I picked up the airline’s featured magazine and was then surprised and happy to see a long-time friend on the cover page, the ever-famous celebrity, Ms. Diana Joy Vacal. The magazine was an all-time-best-seller which was published by the M. Graces Publishing Company, owned by Ms. Mary Grace Flores and Ms. Mariel Grace Tan.
After an hour, our plane landed safely at La Enrique Aero Puerto Internationalle, owned by the Filipino-Spanish businesswoman, Ms. Irish Enrique.
The whole cast, staff and crew went straight to the Hotel Grande ala Ramiso owned by Ms. Noeme Ramiso. The hotel is a 200-storey building built by the Dator Industrial Engineering Firm lead by its founder, Engr. Karlo Dave Dator, together with his co-engineers, Engr. Arc Jay Casinillo, Engr. Jonie Omas-as, Engr. Zaldy Melano and Engr. Jeson Quinamague.
The first day of shooting went well until we finally finished the film after a couple of months. And so, we were in to its promotion. Aside from the United States of America, we also had worldwide mall tours to endorse our movie. The first stop was in the M.S. Mall of Europe. The inintials, M.S. stands for the surnames of its holders, Ms. Malyn Malaki and Ms. Analyn Sigaan.
Since we were already there, we took the chance to watch the one-of-a-kind musical entitled, Miss Saigon, which stars Ms. Normalyn Plana with her crystal voice to play the leading role. Ms. Donnabel Jade Ventura and Ms. Ainee Sarong were also part of the said musical as supporting actresses. It was held at the largest theatre in Europe, Centro Culturalle Del Carino en Rosario owned by Mr. Jemuel Carino and Mr. Glend del Rosario. I felt the solemnity when their musical director, Maestro Paul John Gaddi, started to play the music.
After the musical, we had our dinner in a Hawaiian-inspired resto-bar called, The Aloha Diner!, owned by the greatest cook, Chef Jobert Libarios. It is co-owned by one of his closest friends, Chef Sidney Larr Sinahon, who recently opened their biggest branch in Sidney, Austrailia.
Our next stop was in Paris, France. There were countless of fans and for us to relax after facing the crowd, we went in to their National Museum where the first international exhibit of the Philippine National Artist, Mr. Jeffer Comanda, was being held. His main features were the animated version of the species discovered by the genius marine biologist, Dr. Mitoshiela Laureano.
Until we were down to our last stop, our homeland, the Philippines. Despite of my busy schedule, I still managed to visit where my high school life happened- the Hinunangan City (formerly called the Municipality of Hinunangan) and the Holy Rosary University (formerly called Holy Rosary Academy). There I saw batch-mates who continued to serve our dear Alma Mater through teaching, like Ma’am Mary Joe Casag, Ma’am Engelyn Culaba and Ma’am Analiza Elleco. I also met the new HRU Head, Mr. Melchor Budlat. He was with the new religion teacher, Sr. Maria Cristina Gile, OSS and the guidance counselor, Sr. Leah Jane Misoles, OSS, together with her assistant, Sr. Cindy Zamora, OSS. Before my flight back to states, I first attended the a mass celebrated by the new Sts. Peter & Paul Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jerry Cardona with Rev. Deacon Jonilou Dolon.
The premier night of our movie had come and it was held at Teatro ala Jamaika en MichelleI owned by Ms. Jamaika Humang-it and Ms. Michelle Albero. Thousands of fans watched it for the first time and it felt so great seeing their superb reactions. Everybody appreciated and loved it. The night was successful and ended smoothly.
On my way home, while I was inside of my brand new car which was the most recent model of the top-making car producer in the whole wide world, the 3LL3 Cars, owned by the business tycoon, Mr. Christian Nathaniel Elle, I saw a gigantic billboard of the prominent supermodel, Ms. Kimberly Ruth Sangalang. She endorses the newest hair product of the best beauty company, owned by the well-known, Ms. Mary Jane Cana. I turned my head on the other side and with much amazement, I saw the photo of Ms. Maria Marjorie Sudoy on another sky scraper billboard who endorses the latest wine product of the Rocky Racquel Liquors owned by Ms. Racquel Balagao. I slept for a while and when I woke up, my car was already entering the gate of my $5.3 Billion worth mansion. I did not have much energy to go upstairs so I just used the elevator.
My schedule was free on the next day and since I had been spending most of the time outside, I chose to stay home. I turned on my 60inch high definition flat screen television which was the most modern product of the Junior Electronics, owned by the life-time business partners, Mr. Felix Ello, Jr., Mr. Roso Adlao, Jr. and Mr. Felipe Almoso, Jr.. While I was eating the prescribed breakfast of the hot and sexy nutritionist and dietician, Dr. Basil Ann Vacal, I was watching the CNN, with the multi-awarded news personalities, Mr. Norman “Ka Pakdong” Plana, Ms. Kristine Marie Samo and Ms. Karen Colasito as the news anchors. On the headlines was the very first brain transplant operation, conducted by the brilliant surgeons, Dr. Jessica Grace Ngoho and Dr. Clarissa Ayla Capapas. On the next news were Atty. Karla Balneg and Atty. Jean Cabarles in the Supreme Court of the Philippines, defending for Filipina rights due the controversial, Hinunangan Rape Case. It was then followed by an exclusive interview with the first woman ever to have an outer space tour, none other than the multi-billionaire, Ms. Louela Baja. Her tour started in the planet Mercury up to the new discovered planet called, Maecot, discovered by the credible astrologer, Ms. Mae Togonon. The traveler used the spaceship called Thirdy, named after Engr. Cesar Tabunan, III. The spacecraft was manufactured by the Piga Aeronatics owned by the Piga sisters, Ms. Rhea and Rizza Piga. It took five months of negotiation and preparation in courtesy of the most in demand travel agency, Dagcutan Travellers, Inc. owned by Ms. Lamp-el Dagcutan. On the other exclusive news, was Ms. Myra Mae del Pilar, the first jackpot winner worth $4,000,000.00 of the highly rated game show, Rosarian, Deal or No Deal, hosted by the one and only, Ms. Daphne Jean Malaki. The Constantine Bank owned by Ms. Roseliza Constantino and Mr. Adonis Constantino gave the prize money. On the sports break was the first press conference for the Filipino-American, Most Valuable Player of NBA year 2022, Mr. Dave Odilao. And on the political portion of the news was the first State Of the Nation Address of the Philippine president, His Excellency Fredie Narte. The SONA ceremony started with a marching parade lead by the first-ever female leader of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Gen. Erlyn Sinahon together with her noble soldiers, Lt. Merbien Gaddi, Lt. Noblen Berondo, Capt. Ronald Payak, Capt. Marvin Rey Terante, Col. Jeson Tulang, Col. Macario Cotanda, Corp. Jason Escabillas and the rest of the AFP. It was followed by a mass celebrated by the Most Rev. Archbishop Kevin Paul Maiz,ALA and his successor, Rev. Fr. Felimon Segovia, Jr.
I am not much into politics so I decided to change the channel and an entertainment program caught my attention. It was hosted by Ms. Nikka Jhane Salacinas. She looked beautiful then with her long shiny hair, porcelain-like complexion and kissable lips. Of course she would never achieve such appearance without the James Medical Group, lead by the duo surgeon, Dr. Reuben James Bongabong and Dr. James Javier with their nurses, Ms. Kemily Flores, Ms. Glaiza Madeja, Ms. Victoria Mae Malinao. The show featured the successful and grand wedding of Sourth Korea’s royal family, Prince Philmar Tictic I and Princess Kathyrine Louise Balingcos I. All the quintessential details of the wedding were told in the program. It was held in he Royal Palace which looked more grandiose because of the design made by the Charming Coordinators, a business which organizes any kind of event; it’s owned by the very artistic, Ms. Charmy Fe Tangog. There were also bunches of beautiful fresh flowers delivered from Switzerland where the main branch of the Big Pot Gardens owned by Ms. Gigi Malaki and Ms. Gina Paso, is located. The bride’s gown was made in the finest cloth and was embedded with diamonds. It was uniquely designed by the finest fashion designers, Mr. Marvin Estillore and Mr. Junilou Hadlocon. The bride’s hair and makeup were artistically done by the world’s most successful stylists, Mr. Mark Anthony Tulang and Mr. Razil Monton. All the shining golden jewelries worn by the royal family were exclusively
designed and furnished by the Goldie Jewelries named after its owner, Ms. Goldie Lyl Edjoc. The reception was held in the Brua Hotel and Restaurant owned by the famous Brua’s, Ms. Pinky Brua and Mr. Catherine Brua. Their head cook was Chef Maximo Feji, Jr., famous for his maximized meals. Their handsome manager, Mr. Reevic Cinco, made sure that everything and everyone were doing well. Of course, honorable personalities were invited, like the world’s leading in automobile tire business, Mr. Argie Liguid; Mr. Allan Flores and Mrs. Jackylyn Liguid-Flores, were the royal representatives of Great Britain. They hired the excellent Literature professor of Harvard University, the polygot, Mr. Arnel dela Cruz, as interpreter for them to be able to establish a good communication and get rid of the language barrier. Capt. Rosendo Labe, Jr., the captain of Korea’s royal plane, and his wife, Mrs. Herzalyn Lasmarias-Labe, Mr. Jo Marie Cinco, the chairman of the Central Bank of Korea and Pastor Fritz Joey Ngoho, the head of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), were also there having some chit-chat with the king. Since there were so many important persons, Major Edd Gratian Taotao with PO1 Anna Marie Cuta, PO1 Razee Sarah Dolon, PO1 Crislylo Dolorito and the rest of Korea’s Bureau of Investigation were there to secure everybody. A new palace was made for the new couple and it was designed by Architect Docelyn Umantod and was interiorly designed by the Let’s DO it! Architecture and Design which is co-owned and lead by Mr. Devin Do.
A toothpaste commercial interrupted the program. It was Beam Toothpaste with its good looking and the possessor of the Killer Smile, Mr. Raymond Brua. It was the number one recommended toothpaste by the International Dentist Association, said by its chairman, Dr. Jonbil Gambito and vice-chairman, Dr. Lhoriebeth Cubangbang.
Suddenly, my phone rang and as expected, it was my manager, telling me that our movie and its whole cast were nominated for respective titles, in the prestigious award-giving body in the US, the Oscar Awards.
The awards night came and the stadium was full. The first part of the said event was the introduction of the board of judges namely: Senora Ma. Valerie Ann Maiz, Senora Diana Jeanie Morales, Senora Grace Antonette Toyhacao and Senora Mariel Joy Bastes.
I was so nervous then that I didn’t notice that the performance of the most requested band Gwapings with Mr. Raymond Ruiz on the lead guitar, Mr. Art Norman Adlao on bass, Mr. Jethro Salem Tuquib on drums and Mr. Jeyco Bulingit as the vocalist, was already done.
I just saw myself standing beautifully and elegant while I was giving my speech for being the Best Actress Awardee. We also grabbed most of the major awards then.
All of a sudden, my genie appeared again and reminded me that I still got two wishes left. So I made my second wish. “Bring me back exactly to where and when I first met you”. “Your wish is my command!”, he said. And with just a blink of an eye, I was already in the first scene of this story, the breeze was so cool and the sea was illuminated by the brightness of the full moon’s light.
“What is your final wish?”, the genie asked. Then, I replied, “now that I know that all of us will all have a prosperous life… now that I know that we will all achieve our dreams and ambitions… now that I know that we will all have a better future, Genie, there’s nothing I could wish more”.
